FAQs

Is single parent coaching worth it?

1

Absolutely. I believe the real value of coaching is that you don't just work through what's happening right now. You develop a different way of looking at yourself, your circumstances and the decisions you're making.

Over the course of working together, you can start to step into the life you know you want to be living, while developing the tools and perspective to navigate the many curve balls life throws at you in the future. So the work doesn't just stop when our sessions do.

How is coaching different from therapy or counselling?

2

I like to describe the difference like this: therapy often explores where you are now by looking at your past experiences and how they may have shaped you, whereas coaching focuses more on where you are now and where you want to be in the future.

With coaching, it’s about getting really clear on what you want to achieve, understanding what might be stopping you from getting there, and then working out clear actions to move you forward.

I don’t give you advice or tell you what you should do, because every person and every situation is unique. You are the person who knows your life best, and my role is to facilitate you along the way, using coaching tools and techniques to help you find the answers that are right for you and move towards what really matters to you.

Coaching isn’t a replacement for therapy or counselling, and if you need support with your mental health or processing trauma, therapy or counselling may be more appropriate.

How long does it take to see results from coaching?

3

Most clients start to see a shift even after the initial consultation call. For many, it’s the first time they’ve had the opportunity to really talk about their experiences without someone jumping in with advice or trying to fix things. Sometimes simply having the space to talk, without judgement, can help you start to process what’s really going on for you.

From there, each session builds on the last. As you start to learn more about yourself and gain more insight into what really matters to you, you can begin to build the confidence to make changes and start living life on your terms.

And the best part is that the work doesn’t just stop when we finish working together. My role as a coach isn’t just to help you through what you’re facing right now, but to help you become your own coach in the future. So when life throws something else your way, you have the tools, perspective and self-awareness to work through it for yourself.

Which package is right for me – Enhanced Focus, Deep Focus, or Clarity Focus?

4

You don’t need to know before we start. The three packages simply offer different levels of support, depending on what you want to work through and how much time you feel you need.

Enhanced Focus is for when there are a few different things you want to work through and you’d like regular support as you make changes across different areas of your life.

Deep Focus is a good fit if there’s one particular area you really want to focus on and you’d like more space between sessions to put things into practice.

Clarity Focus is for when you have a specific goal or decision in mind but feel stuck on where to start. It gives us one focused session to get clear on what you want and what your next steps could be.

And if you’re still not sure, that’s completely fine. We can talk through what’s going on for you during our initial consultation and work out together which approach would make the most sense.

Are sessions in person or online?

5

I offer sessions in person in the E17 area of London. If you’re based elsewhere, I offer sessions online, so you can access coaching wherever you are.

Yes, of course. I know that finances can be a big source of stress for single parents, and I don’t want investing in coaching to add to that stress.

Payment plans are available, and we can discuss an arrangement that works best for your situation during our consultation before we start working together.
